Convention Seasons 2017-2018 - BFRPG anywhere?
Simple question, really. Did any of you hit or plan on hitting any Cons and running BFRPG this year or next? If so, which ones?
I've never attended a convention, and I think I need to scratch it off my bucket list, but one close to home is likely best, unless I can get to it in a 2 day drive. One extra hotel night would really put a dent in spending money, though.

I pretty much just do local conventions. I'll be at Quincon in Quincy, IL tomorrow for two sessions, actually. I also go for their Winternomicon in November.

I mayyyyyy try to run a game at next year's Lubbock-Con. My wife ran a booth this year and had a positive experience, and when I visited there were quite a few board/card/RPG game tables upstairs.

My wife and I are starting Arkansas RPG Con this year in October in Central Arkansas.
I would be thrilled if someone wanted to come run BFRPG.

I found a good resource for finding conventions in the southern states. It is called Southern Fandom Resource Guide

I'm going to MAGfest in Washington DC, which is a big(ish) general gaming convention. Which is awesome in some ways, but it's a bit of a double-edged sword. There's so much to do that sitting down for 6 hours to play a table-top RPG, while fun, isn't the best use of my time. More than a convention I'd like to find a meet-up group that pools resources to get a small meeting space, set up tables and chairs, and holds one or two sessions over the day.

As of right now, I'm planning to run an afternoon session at the Fantasy Store in St. Charles, MO on October 28th. They're having a Halloween-themed RPG Demo Day, and I don't know whether I'll be running BFRPG or Iron Falcon but I'll be there.

I've put together a one-shot, one-session adventure for Basic Fantasy RPG. I'll think about setting something up for MAGFest.

You have an adventure, eh?
... wanna share it?

I'll be glad to when the time is right. A few things are needed first, thoughSolomoriah wrote:You have an adventure, eh?

- Editing to the documents and map file
- Rolling some pre-generated characters
- A solo playthrough or two to see how the encounters work out
- etc...
But once I'm satisfied the mini-adventure is a worthwhile contribution I'll look into the proper ODT formatting and all that and share it with anybody who wants it.
