The monk character 'Fung' gets a talking sword called Juda Kongju which can cast the spell 'Cause Fear' once per day. (The reverse of the clerical spell 'remove fear' cast by a 5th level caster). The save vs spells is at -5. The sword is otherwise very annoying and carrying it is part of the 'Path of Penance' the monk is undertaking.

The monk also gets 3 potions of extra healing (2d6+1).

The magic user character (MevlyTM) gets an Efreeti Bottle which contains a powerful efreeti called Laylat AlHariq, who will appear when the bottle is opened and obey whoever holds the ancient brass bottle. The efreeti only has 4 hours of service left to run (or 4 more openings of the bottle, whichever comes first), after which time he will return to his home plane. (Hopefully. Unless he doesn't decide to hang around and kill you first...)

The magic user also gets a scroll of the 4th level magic user spells Hallucinatory Terrain, Charm Monster, and Wall of Fire. S/he cannot copy these spells into her book. If s/he attempts to use the scroll there is a 10% per spell that they will fail, or miscast, which could mean strange wild magic events take place.

Ser Gavin's fighter-mage gets:

+1 Scimitar
Magic Sea-waterskin that never runs out...
Potion of Diminution, Potion of Haste, and Potion of Extra Healing (2d6+1).

Ser Gavin - normal European style elves are not actually available in this game. Your character Saracen is a type of sea-elf. He is an excellent swimmer, can swim underwater for long periods, but needs to get himself very wet every 4 hours - hence the magic waterskin. He takes 1.5 damage from fire attacks as well. His appearance can stay much the same as it is.

I'm glad he is a pirate.

Nantenbo (the staff of Nanten).

6' long bo staff made by the monk Jin Nan-Ten, who first brought the Great Way teachings to Kona.

Years later, it was taken south by Chang-Chang Chen, a female monk, who was on route to Salaya with her retinue, to deliver the famous weapon into the hands of the abbot of Gulan Buya, for ceremonial purposes to do with the establishment of a fighting school in the new monastery there.

The staff is used as an extension of the monk's 'unarmed' fighting technique, adding +1 to hit and +1 to damage onto all unarmed attacks made in a round. Stunning blows made with the staff add +2 to the number of rounds of effect.

Alternately, the monk may use it as a formal weapon, getting a single attack at +2 to hit and 2d4 damage. If this option is used, the monk may also add their damage bonus for special weapons training onto the damage total.

Rostam the Paladin had two magical items when he was captured by the pirates.

1 - a +2 scimitar that is +3 vs undead, damage and attack. This is an ancestral weapon and considerably better than the one he is currently using from Saracen's gear. As far as you know, the Lerini pirate Ash has this weapon but does not know its true value.

2 - a ring of infravision and detect undead. This was also an ancestral item and dates from the days when Rostam's family were required to repress a necromantic cult in Persia. You do not know who has this item.

Elias the Cleric had the following items when he was captured.

1 - a scroll containing higher level clerical spells of his faith - commune, quest, and raise dead. This was confiscated by the pirates but is in Kappa Clerical runes and no one could read it.

2 - some potions of extra healing which got snaffled by Apinya and Kanya and formed part of their kit at the start of the game.

(Everyone else had their magic items confiscated as well but in the chaos of the shipwreck managed to retrieve them, because of course they did.)
