OOC: yes, let us rest at the ruins and go for the ship early in the morning. Rostam will take the first watch. He will also "water" Saracen from his magical bottle. And as stated above, he is not interested in Jab-Afri's possessions.

That seems to be a decision to spend the night.

(Rolls encounter rolls...)

Well, nothing happens overnight except the stench of rotting flesh gets worse because of all the damn bodies around here. Saracen does not die because of the water given to him.

Next morning - you are all on full HP and full spells. Bathing in the well with two bodies floating in it is pretty weird but the healing still works...

Do you get Sonja's body or anything of the sort?

Next move - off to the ship. Can you describe to me how you approach once you get through the desert and what your formation / plan is?

Feeling better, Yuan-Cheng pinches his nose and gets to work burying the corpses. He defers to the paladin whether Sonja should be buried or preserved and brought to the ship. Once things are taken care of, YC is ready to go to the ship.

Jaali didn't had the time to check out Sonja's and Kanya's bodies earlier. From what I understood, the bodies pretty much exploded. Am I right, or a raise dead spell could be an option ?

Also, any magic item survived the explosion on any of the bodies ?

OOC: Given Sonja's sorry state after the explosion, Rostam would bury her with proper Persian funeral rites, as far as the time and location permits.
The pirates can go into a mass grave and that includes Jab-Afri. There was talk of saving Maju, so I think we can take his body to the ship.
When the scene of the battle has been cleaned up somewhat, Rostam suggests heading straight for the ship.

INJURIES

Post by Longman »

Woe's character Sonja has a badly mangled right hip which would reduce her movement speed by 10 feet. She is also missing her left hand, which she threw up to shield her form the blast. She would permanently lose a point of dex, and this also would prevent her from carrying two items at once in her hands. The hand is blown to pieces and it's doubtful a surgeon could get it back on. Finally, her right leg is full of shrapnel and will scar up badly no matter what happens.

Apart from that she is also badly wounded through burns and shrapnel liberally all over her body but those are standard wounds which CLW could fix if she was raised.

Maju's main problem is that his right shoulder is...not really a shoulder any more. The lightning bolt hit him directly in that place and the flesh and bone and just gone. That means his whole right arm is unusable. He'd permanently lose a point of dex.

Both characters would also lose a point of con as per the standard spell rules.

Various things may happen with Cha. If you were truing to actually charm someone, the facial scarring suffered by both characters would be a disadvantage. If you were trying to intimidate them it would be a bonus.

You have buried everyone else. Just not those two. The cleric at the ship has some surgical skill which would make raise dead an option for either but the problems I described would still stand.

ITEMS

Post by Longman »

(see other post above)

A search of Sonja reveals that her ring of x-ray vision is melted and destroyed. All her arms and armor are kinda useless now, and a lot of her jewelry is damaged but the stones themselves are OK. If you decide not to raise Sonja, I can tell you what value you can have from her stuff. It's actually quite valuable.

Kanya Jayde had a ring of protection and a potions of clairaudience and extra healing, all of which are destroyed. She does have another magical-looking ring, the purpose of which is not clear. Most of her other stuff is destroyed, but she does have about 500 gp in assorted treasure.

Apinya had magic items (potions, a ring) which are destroyed. His pistol survived. You could give that to a villager?

OOC: Rostam is willing to look after Kanya's treasure until it can be used for a good cause - he does not want any of it for himself.

Sonya's things should stay with her body until a decision is made if she should be raised. If not, the paladin would insist on burying her with the jewelry.

If one of Teruk's men can use the pistol, let him have it.

Does the party feel up to taking two corpses and two prisoners through the desert back to the ship? Then let us move on.

I'm not moving forward on the basis of one post from Rhialto. We have two other active players - quozl and mTeasdale. MevlyTM also should get a say in what happens here. Woe is MIA.

Sort out what you want to do please, or this game is going to go cold.

If Woe is MIA, there's no sense in lugging Sonya around. Let's just go to the ship.
