Chapter 5: All Aboard the Ark-Ari

Rostam has a flashback to arguing with the efreet about the magic bottle.
He clears his throat:

Why make things complicated? Let us try to get the chest on board first. If our aquatic guide disagrees, we'll find some other solution.

[Longman]

It would indeed be quite impractical to tow the chest back to shore. You'd have to go the way you came and it would take a full day.

Can you resolve this issue soon please?

[mTeasdale]

Jaali leave without saying anything and come back with a long rope and starts tieing it to the boat.

"I can't wait to get rich. Let's bring that chest on board"

[Rhialto]

Rostam hurries to help Jaali.

Let's keep everything in plain sight of the dragon.

It seems like the dragon wants something specific. Is there any way we could get Jaali down there to pick the lock? Then we could just give the dragon the part of the treasure that he wants.

[mTeasdale]

"Wait, I'm not going to swin in a ocean full of sharks !"

I'll do it if its the right course of action, but Jaali may need a bit of convincing.

[Rhialto]

The dragon has been very peaceful so far. I am sure we can pull the chest on deck and open it in front of his eyes without enraging him.

Rostam continues helping Jaali with the rope.

[Longman]

So far I've got 2 characters actively engaged in trying to get the chest on board, but the monk (who was holding it) isn't so sure, and the mage isn't either.

The chest is now roped on, but still in the water, on the surface, and the monk no longer has to hold it up because Jaali and a sailor are doing that.

The monk and Elias have surfaced and drawn breath. The sharks are still below and not aggressive. The dragon surfaces and stares at the chest eagerly.

The paladin Rostam gets no evil reading from the dragon.

Well, let's bring it up then.

YC gets back on board and helps haul up the chest.

[Longman]

Well, I guess that's a decision.

The chest is brought on to the ship. The sea dragon is now arcing its neck up over the gunwale to peer at you.

Everyone is on board. What do you do? Refer to the ship map if you want to decide where you go to do stuff, otherwise I'll assume this is all happening on the main deck.

Also remember there is still scattered treasure below if you want to dive for it later. However, there is already a lot of loot on the ship so lack of cash is not exactly a problem for you right now.
