Searching

Various party members turn their talents to searching the short corridor leading up to the painted door.

[Rolls].

Paladin and Doughbert find no signs of any traps. Similarly, Nivek finds nothing suspicious in the stonework. It appears to Leo that the corridor is well-used across its width - there are no particularly distinctive areas that have been avoided, nor any particular tracks or trails that stand out anongst the general traffic.

Whilst the others search the corridor, Gannicus turns his attention to the room. He counts up a seven bodies in total, all "tagged" with the fig leaf symbol. Other than than, he finds nothing else of interest amongst the debris.

Doughbert will go to the door, listen, then inspect the door, handle and lock for traps. If he finds none, he will ask paladin to do the same check.

Gannicus will open the door after it has been checked if the party decides that is what they want to do.

Tannen checks the straps on his armour and shield and readies himself to enter the room beyond the door after Gannicus opens it.

Doughbert checks the door for traps and listens carefully [rolls]. All seems safe and quiet beyond. He invites Paladin to the same [rolls]. Paladin concurs that the door appears trap-free, but he's certain he can hear voices on the other side. He reckons that there are at least two "beings" beyond the door, but they're speaking in a either a heavily-accented dialogue or language that the halfling finds difficult to understand.

(Do you proceed to open the door as stated previously?)

Doughbert steps back against the side wall so that he can see into the other room once the door is opened and readies his bow. He'll wait till the door is opened and the actions of the others in the party before he knows what he will do.

Leo whispers to Tannen, "At what point do you use the password provided to us? Here or elsewhere?"

Paladin hikes quietly down the passage back to the wrecked room. He has Benoni set up with two shields someplace with clear line of sight down to the door. Paladin draws his bow and uses Benoni for cover.

Tannen whispers - "The passwords were for the gang that are already defeated." OOC: {weren't they?!}.

Tannen moves up to the door and signals for the others to ready missile weapons. Is it possible to tell if the door is locked or not without making any noise?

Nivek continues to follow along thinking, 'I think my boys are working well together, even if we are not finding out much right now'.

"Be ready boys, at some point we are going to meet the nasties that have caused this carnage! Be ready to do the Work we are here to do!"

And Nivek prepares his throwing hammer after belting his mace.
