Re: #Dungeon23 #CommunityEdition

Room 17. Abandoned experiments Sweet floral odor assaults you as soon as you enter this room; an old lab overrun with vegetation. Crystal recipients of colored liquids illuminate the room with a dim spectral light. Several broken tubes and glasses spills on the fractured tiles of the floor where wi...

Re: A Manifesto of Sorts, which is a Plan as well

Looking for general descriptions may work for most monsters. So the Kobold can be scaly little creatures with big snouts that lives in underground tunnels they cave. They love to play malicius tricks on bigger creatures whom they hate and fear. As for Dragons they can be element/theme first with ran...

Re: Anybody attempting #Dungeon23 ?

I want to do it! I'm currently gathering resources. Choosing the themes. Looking/creating some random tables... some people are drawing the maps and plan to do stock-a-dungeon-room-a-day approach... I'm planning to just draw the room each day and see how it developes from there.

Re: The detours of the OSR or the Gonnerman and Goodman Effect.

« It was not my intention to create a division between one game and another and I guess I misspoke. What I was trying to point out (I believe) is the difficulty of making a choice when it comes to choosing an RPG. Several factors come into play, such as the time available, the money, the interest o...

Re: Gothic Horror

To me something like "gothic horror" is flavor. I don't think there is much needed to turn normal BFRPG into a gothic horror genre. Flavor text, a focus on certain monsters, maybe add a fear save or something...but it is really more about the monsters and flavor. What else was people thin...

Re: Working On A Bare Bones A5 Core book, the Anti-Art Equation

Delving Deeper has an approach that may be more of your liking. It even have an hypertext version of it's current stable edition. https://www.immersiveink.com/?page_id=22 IMHO you shouldn't be so dismisive of the utility of art (which is more that just publicity) in the readibility and utility of a ...

(...) I fell in love with the artists of DCC and the magic system of the same game, but I never managed to exploit it well in a "cool" way, I felt like I was lost somewhere in the movie Heavy Metal (1981). Afterwards, after a kind of post-covid depression where I was jaded by everything (...

What about the paper quality? I'm a little baffled to found that many hardbacks from Lulu have a nice hardcaover and average photocpy paper.

Re: Has Anyone ever statted out a Dullahan?

There's a Banshee in B4 - The Lost city. Perhaps you can use it as a guideline for the Dullahan.
Banshees can only be hurt by Magic or Magic weapons. They are inmune to Sleep, Charm and Hold spells. They are not undead, and cannot be turned. P 25
