Re: Errata (r52)

No "forcing" to it. If you're using the extended spell lists interpretation, then each time a magic-user gains access to a new level of spells, the player rolls for each and every spell in the list, as explained in the section I pointed you to. If you're using limited spell lists, they roll when the...

Re: Equipment Emporium Supplement

The one on Amazon is still R23. R24 has the fixed dividing lines in the tables. It should go up next week, according to the usual print release candidate rules.

Re: Errata (r52)

Instead of creating another thread, I'll just ask my questions here. I don't mean to derail. - On page 2(6), depending on the INT score, you have a minimum and maximum amount of spells that you can memorize per spell level (Just a side note, but I think it would cause less confusion if the sentence...

Re: Basic Fantasy Field Guide 1

Announcing! The Basic Fantasy Field Guide Volume 1, Release 36 -- September 18, 2019 More edits by Alan Vetter has led to yet another release, but this one isn't a print release candidate; parts of it are a mess, and it will need more layout hammering before it can be printed. But hey, we're probab...

Re: Equipment Emporium Supplement

Announcing! Basic Fantasy Equipment Emporium, Release 24 -- September 18, 2019 NewbieSalmon pointed out on the forum that one of the tables was "lighter" than the others; in fact, it had thinner lines than it should have. This new print release candidate fixes that, and a handful of other borderlin...

Here is what I found in Field Guide 1 Release 35 Page 4 Last paragraph of Ankheg description: Currently: In desperation, an ankheg can spit line of acid; … Should be: In desperation, an ankheg can spit a line of acid; … Page 7 Winged Ape illustration covers the lower portion of the letters of the p...

Re: Equipment Emporium Supplement

Why is the table in page 39(43) lighter than the rest? Gah. The difference isn't visible on my screen until I zoom WAY in. Someone didn't use 0.50pt lines on that table, and I didn't catch it. The good thing is, there's no rush to revise it as it's purely cosmetic. I'll upload a new version soon, a...

Re: Alchemist

An Alchemist should be able to produce potions having 1st level effects at 1st level, 2nd level effects at 3rd level, and so on. The GM would have to rule on the "level" of a potion that does not reproduce a known spell. OR, you could provide "potion lists" like the spell lists of magic-users. Resea...

Re: Basic Fantasy Field Guide 1

Just noticed I missed NewbieSalmon's suggestion in R35, so I'm already working on R36.
