Pfft. You can WRITE that way. Very few people TALK that way. Posts on the forum should be conversational, not artistic, at least not that way.

Re: Good monster book to use if using gold as xp

Ninja Bear, I'm sorry, but we're not going down that road. Discussion of why other games do things is beyond the scope of this forum.

Re: Illusionist sub-class question

That statement is meant to be guidance for the GM when adjudicating things that don't have a solid mechanic.

Re: Chrysogon's Coterie - 288 NPCs for your Campaign

Updated this week, actually. Since they sometimes preorder stock, it's possible you might get an R31 if you order the standard cover, but the alternate cover can only be R32.

Re: Basic Fantasy RPG GM Emulator?

TimTam, I'm counting this as your required "introduction" post since you covered the topic in your post. Welcome! Regarding creating a GM emulator: Many people may agree with you that it's a good idea, but in my rather extensive experience no one will actually do anything until you create ...

Re: Good monster book to use if using gold as xp

To address the original post: Use the Core Rules. Seriously, it won't be that bad. If you want to slow advancement, just divide by a larger number; for example, if you have five characters involved in an adventure, divide the monster XP by 6 or more, as you see fit.
