I disagree in part with your assessments. Monsters that are "obvious" can absolutely be rewritten while being kept more or less as they are; we are only required to restate or redesign those elements that are properly art (including rewriting all the words). For example, the Desert Worm is...

BTW, I think your statues (that is a statue in room 5, right?) are going to be hard to identify. Using the darkened-star-in-circle symbol is strongly preferred as it's properly Old School.

A directional arrow, or the chevron symbols used in MapMatic. Your style is fine, but the color will be flattened to black and white and fine detail may be hard to make out. Your symbols for room contents... where did you get them? Do they have open licenses so that we can legally print or distribut...

Only reference print releases; that will save some of your sanity. In your document, indicate the release number of the document when you give the page number, and use the printed page numbers, not the PDF page numbers, so those with actual prints can find things.
