Re: Cover Template? Adventure Template Questions...
Chi has it right here. I don't share the cover templates with anyone, I do the covers myself when it's time. I don't want anyone else creating "official" prints, and one way to limit that is not to share the cover layouts. You may of course create unofficial prints, but you'll have to do ...

Cover Template? Adventure Template Questions...
Hello All!
Just wondering why if I download the adventure template there's no front or back cover templates (coloured chequered border on black background)?
Does anyone have a link to these or various colours? What font/size/etc do Basic Fantasy covers use?
Thankee in advance!

General Questions about Weapons/Equipment Emporium....
Hey there, just going to fire a few out there... I love the Equipment Emporium. I absolutely agree with the decision to limit the official core rulebook to the single book, there's something so elegant and clean about having a self-contained, single reference point. And having the Field Guide as the...

Is getting an online Chat a possibility?
I'm none too proficient in the ol' Internets, but wondering what the likelihood is of getting a chat on here similar to Dragonsfoot forums? Theirs is a pretty good model for a basic one. I've even played a few games on there. Anyhow, took a cursory look in previous threads to see if this was a recen...

How is any of this possible? Is BF monetized in any way?
Just became aware of Basic Fantasy within the week, and bought everything available on Amazon in softcover (I think it was 10 items), as well as did a P.O.D. order with Lulu for hardcover copies of the Core Rules and Field Guide. 1.) Does Chris realize ANY profit from these sales? 2.) How is this po...

Re: Diagonal squares and distance
Diagonally, that's about 28 feet (28.2842712475 more precisely) compared to moving two 10' squares vertically or horizontally. It's a non-trivial difference mathematically, but if it's negligible to you and slows down your game unreasonably to accommodate for diagonals, just consider any two squares...

FIRST POST... A funny thing happened on my trip across the country...
Hello all, glad to be a part of the forums. First things first, as we speak, my 5 year old daughter just asked if she could add some emojis to the comment. Go ahead, Pearl....    :ugeek: :P Ok, that's that. So let me first say: YEAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Do you kn...

Re: awarding xp
as a player, if the only way to get XP is to kill monsters then killing monsters will be at the top of the "to do" list. If you're looking to build a party of exterminators thats how you get one. There are a lot of good alternates listed in the previous posts that will lead to a fuller ga...
