I'm looking to play a one shot adventure with my friends. I don't want to run a big adventure so I figured books with small adventures will probably have what we need. If you are planning to start at level one then in my opinion Bear Dungeon from AA2 is hands down my favorite and plays pretty quick...

Even though they are intended for solo play, Johndice's tiny solo pamphlets like The Whispering Church makes for a great starter dungeon and adventure.
