Re: The future of Iron Falcon?
I don't believe that the lack of art is a deal breaker at all. When I was a kid I would fawn over the artwork and let my imagination run wild. Today, I'm more than happy to let the memories of yesteryear fill in the visuals. The reason why someone (or specifically in my case, me) would buy Iron Falc...

Re: The Lingering Keep
Dustinian, I just downloaded the PDF and I think it's great little adventure. I can easily see myself implementing this within my Iron Falcon game. I also noticed that you have also have another adventure called "King of the Autumn's Harvest". I wouldn't mind seeing this as well. One quest...

Re: Weapon Type vs Armor Type
I know a lot people believe that Variable Weapon Damage > all weapons do 1d6 damage (Holmes). In my opinion Weapon Type vs Armor Type > Variable Weapon Damage. If you can believe for a moment that a sword in general does greater damage than a dagger, then why wouldn't certain weapons affect differen...

Solo. Thanks for the response. I would gather that it is the same for the treasure table? Those values represent treasure found in lairs?Solomoriah wrote:Those are lair figures. Remember, Iron Falcon emulates a very early version of the game... some niceties we take for granted hadn't been invented yet.

Hobgoblins, Kobolds, Gnomes & Goblins (No. Appearing)
I was just going through the monsters and attempting to stock a dungeon. I came across the Hobgoblins, Kobolds, Gnomes & Goblins entries and was blown away by the No. Appearing. 40d10 and 20d10....wow... that's quite an encounter. I wouldn't even know how to begin to handle 200+ Kobolds vs a par...

Great RPG
I took a look at the Iron Falcon RPG and I fell in love with it almost instantly. I've been DMing B/X over the past year or so, but I have a feeling when the campaign ends I'll be attempting to find a group to run Iron Falcon with. I'll also be purchasing the hardcover from Lulu as soon as the next ...
