How young did you start your kids?

My darling daughter just turned 6 and has the most amazing imagination. I was considering something like Mice and Mystics and then thought I could try BFRPG. Any if you have a young child that you've started on this gaming platform? If so how young and were there any obstacles that you had to overco...

Re: "Floating Orb Monster with One Big Eye and Lots of Small Eyes"

I run a few of my boxes sets from the late 80s and 90s using BFRPG and convert all the monsters over. Pretty simple. Even had a game with an Eye Tyrant in it that got converted.

What is the deal with the newest DnD????

Hey folks, Jandolar here, been a while since I posted. 2015 was the last time I think. Anyway I was invited to join a game with some co-workers and happily accepted. Well that was a mistake. I think it's version 5 or 6 or 35 or something. HOLY MOSES there were so many darn rules and exceptions to ru...

Re: Basic Fantasy RPG Boxed Set? a.k.a. "Black Box Set"?

Not that I can put too much information out there but I'm deploying overseas next year and I'm planning on making a "boxed set" like this to take with me when I go. Figure I might as well have something to enjoy on my down time, what better way to kill time than with some BFRPG! I've got s...

Re: OOC Tavern.

Western? Like with firearms? Indeed, and cowboys and probably not too much steampunk because steampunk is overdone in western RPG campaigns these days. I'm still kind of working out the details of what I want to do in my head, and I have a fantasy idea I'm considering too, but I feel like this west...

Re: OOC Tavern.

Going to have to put this one on hold for a while folks. Yes I know it's been very slow but it's about to get much slower. Things with home and work have increased and to be honest I've lost the desire to log in and post up here. Sorry about that but it is what it is. Hope you enjoyed yourselves. I'...

Re: Hit Dice/HP Question

I house rule max HP at first level. I also use an additional rule that works like this. At 0 hit points the character is unconscious and bleeding out at a rate of 1 hit point per round up to 10 rounds or -10hp. Bandaging the wound at any point before -10 hit points stops the bleed out and the charac...

Re: Return to the Refuge.

Giovanni, flanked by the halfling duo and Opyeen make a dash for the rear of the tavern and out the back door on the heels of Stephanie. Upon reaching the back area where the horses are stabled they hear some cursing and the sound of a horse stamping it's feet as it's lead from one of the farther ba...
