Re: Tales from the Laughing Dragon- A Campaign

A nice way to burn excess gold is by allowing characters to buy training, IE Gold to XP, but I have this take up training time (often during their downtime). Fighters and Thieves actually train in their craft in guilds, barracks, arenas, etc. Magic-Users experiment and study in labs, libraries, magi...

Re: Cleric Deities? Do we make them up?

I have been using Viking/Norse pantheon primarily. Well rounded set of deities with lots of details/stories to draw upon. In my next game, I plan to use this Viking ethos along with the generic worship of Tah as described in the Morgansfort module. The idea, besides monster bashing and exploring, is...

Re: Some drawings

Great work! You forgot to mention "perspective".
The chosen angle is interesting to me; a kind of semi-top view down towards the approaching individuals. The tired usage of straight-on "portrait" style images is obviously over-utilized by the vast majority of artists.

Re: Components for Spells and such?

In my games, it is an assumed thing. Over time, the MU character gathers bits of this and that which allows spell casting to occur. Really more of a role-play function to describe the intricacies of casting. That said, when it comes to magical item creation... I do try to build in requirements to th...

Great image... love the movement. Always makes an image even better when there is a sense of action.

Re: Some drawings

Great image. I agree that the image evokes a sense of action/movement. Not just a portrait, but the capture of the character in the middle of casting. I like it.

Re: Necromancer Supplement

r10 in Projects. Lots of little edits. Also added Dimirag's illustration. One question/issue remains, in the Maggot Spray entry: which save category/type? Hmm, seems to be an oversight. It is a spell, however given its nature seems more a breath weapon as well. Perhaps others have insight, but if u...

Re: Scouts Supplement

I definitely don't like the idea of an optional class implying a core class should be penalized in someway. I think that can cause a lot of problems in my opinion. Whenever you start creating subclasses of subclasses the niche that class is trying to fill becomes more and more narrow. The Complete ...
