Re: Basic Fantasy RPG Core Rules 3rd Edition

On this I am with Solomoriah. One, of the many, good thing of the BFRPG approach is to leave the combo class while separating class from race. This is a good idea in a basic game because give more option without taking too much space and without complicating things too much. Furthermore as already p...

Re: Finding Find Familiar

I was thinking more of a proper class that can choose powers from his own list, maybe even in the form of spells but with a little less bang and more usability characterization... must think of it :) If a player is ok with the added complication of a familiar can also keep track of his new powers ea...

Re: CreateSpace and Amazon Distribution

I must admit that I got 5 BFRPG copies (3 from .de and 2 from .it) and 1 of each adventure :) but that still leaves an outstanding 84 BFRPG manuals :)

would be interesting to know where they were bought :)

Re: Finding Find Familiar

OK :) I like your idea (to make the familiar growing like an henchman, getting more and more a life of his own) but since it is a familiar and not a spell-caster in its own right maybe it would be more characterizing if you make a list of powers, sort of a "familiar" class I am just thinking of it a...

Re: Basic Fantasy books on Amazon of Europe and USA

I was approached by a guy just yesterday regarding a German translation; hopefully he'll jump in here sometime soon and get things rolling. that's great! Please remember, translators need to get my approval before proceeding, due to the Product Identity License. I'm not known for saying no, but I d...

Re: Basic Fantasy books on Amazon of Europe and USA

That is very cool! Now we just need to enlist more fluent bilinguals to get translations up as well. I'll give priority to the Italian translation (so to not get too much distracted) but I will ask around to see if there are interested people from France, Spain or Germany. And maybe someone on the ...

Re: Finding Find Familiar

I understand the fear of power creep, but to give fixed bonus spell is more controllable in my opinion, as pointed out in some other thread one problem can be to have too many 1st level spell at higher levels (since we have Magic Missile that scale in power as pointed out in the section). I think th...

Re: Criticals and Fumbles mechanic

Version 3 is online, now it's a generic supplement with a listing of methods to determine a critical (I tried to put all the one suggested) and alternate result mechanics.

What do you think?
