Re: Low Strength Characters in Combat
Smaller animals tend to be much stronger though - ants are at the extreme range of 5000 times their body weight. So it would make sense that a smaller sized humanoid, with the full development normally only seen in adult humans (i.e. lung capacity, vascular capacity, and muscle density) would be ab...

Re: Half Ogers
I allowed it in one of my games a few years ago. It was not a problem at all. As stated above, it's an average increase of 1 hp per level, but only for the period in which they gain HD i.e. levels 1-9. So on average they'll gain 9 extra hp compared to non-ogre barbarians. This feels like a fair amou...

Got it! I figured it was something like that.Solomoriah wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 5:10 pm Those spells don't fit, due to the clearances for tabs in the software. So it's not misaligned... those are done that way by design. Some of the other spell references put the name above all the fields so they all look like that.

Pg. 28 Protection from Evil spell name misaligned Pg. 32 Speak with Animals spell name misaligned Pg. 32 Speak with Monsters spell name misaligned I'm not sure if the alignment was adjusted for these so the spell name would fit, like for Protection from Evil 10' Radius* and others, but I think the s...

Linnorm It says it can "breath a cloud of fetid gas much like a dragon's breath", so why not just say it's 7d8 points of damage? Alright, so what size? Maybe 30' x 80' cloud like a green dragon of the same size? Those changes are probably small enough to be made without breaking the flow....

Re: Ravenloft 1e Character Levels
Levels are basically equivalent, and just sub monsters. A "correct" conversion will probably just get you what's already been done. You may have to convert the stats for the BBEG and other uniques, but there's not going to be anything radically different. There should be something around h...

Re: Basic Fantasy RPG – Finnish translation
I'm not sure what "conditions" you are imagining other than what the spell text actually says. I believe the (rephrased, but mathematically equivalent) statement "If the roll is over their current hp then they will take at least 1 hp of damage," suggests that there might be some...

Depending on the terrain/vegetation of the hex being traversed, use the table below to calculate daily movement. Take the highest value of a hex’s terrain and vegetation. Example: to traverse a densely Forested Mountain side it would cost 18 Movement Points, not 36. Where did the value 36 come from...
