Listening to: "I'll Change" by Indigo Girls. Some contemplative folk, a little different than my usual preferences, but enjoyable nonetheless. I really respect the poetry in the lyrics to this one.

Listening to: "Square Hammer" by Ghost. Some tonal and lyrical content extremely reminiscent of classic heavy metal, with a modern production quality.

Listening to: "Cannonball" by The Breeders. A little bit of what I would almost define as subdued noise rock (probably an oxymoronic statement), with some unorthodox instrumentation.

Listening to: “Nowhere Now” by Steven Wilson. Some relaxing prog rock to remedy the stress of a hectic day at work.

Listening to: "Black Smoke Rises" by Greta Van Fleet.

Listening to: "How Did You Love?" by Shinedown. A little different than my normal musical fare, but I'm enjoying it. Some excellent lyrical quality, in my opinion.

Reading: The Singer's Gun by Emily St. John Mandel. Another good thriller, with some very nice twists to it. Listening to: "I Hope You're Happy" by Blue October. Very much a retro-styled song. It came out last December, but it sounds like it would have fit perfectly in the mid to late 80s...
