Tiny Solo Adventure IV: Coincackler Well
Tiny Solo Adventure IV: Coincackler Well
Heya everyone,
I had fun making a new solo pamphlet adventure for BF! Uploading it took me a while because the Netherlands is going in lockdown again and I was busy preparing.
This time, my inspiration was my son who was wondering what it is exactly that causes a wish to be granted when you drop a coin down a wishing well, and I thought that would make a nice inspiration for a mini-adventure. Also, it gave me a nice chance to use one of the most fun monsters in BF (I think at least) Coincackler Well is the result!
Anyway, thought I'd share for those in the community who like to have some solo or GM-less fun in Basic Fantasy
P.S I'm planning to compile all the pamphlets during the Christmas break (I have some more)
Cheerio!
John

Thanks John. I love these solo adventures.

Please forgive my ignorance. I can not seem to grasp the concept of how to use the answer complex questions chart. Could you explain to me how to use it?

This is fabulous. And the illustrations and cartography are top-notch.
I'm printing this out this morning and going to hunt down your other stuff. Love the format as well.

Re: Tiny Solo Adventure IV: Coincackler Well
Sure thing, let's say I'm currently hiding and observing some of the kobolds in the adventure. My complex Gm question (usually open-ended questions) is 'what does the kobold bee rider do?'
I roll 'Disrupt'and 'Friendship' on the descriptor tables. I interpret this as this particular bee rider arguing with his friends about something.
I replace the two used descriptors with 'Hide' and 'spy' as that is what came up during play.
Thats how I usually do it, hope this helps!
Re: Tiny Solo Adventure IV: Coincackler Well
You replace Disrupt / Friendship with Hide / Spy. Both of these seem like action descriptors. Which one would fit into the theme description portion. Or does that not really matter?
