I think some of the more recent comic books were reprints of the old black and white magazines, the stuff Roy Thomas adapted.
I liked both the comics and the b/w magazines Marvel published. They reprinted some of the color comics in the b/w magazines as well. Good stuff, have to go hunting for more in flea markets and yard sales eventually.

I went over every monster carefully and yet, with all those illustrations it seems new again.

Great job.

r42 put back in Projects. All recent artwork added (except something happened to the Gellybone entry), and revised a few entries.
I removed the header & footer lines, but there's still one that I cannot figure out where it's coming from. Solo will need to work on that before putting r42 on the Downloads page.

Lovely texture and (I'm guessing) digital shading.

Thanks Teaman. I copied the original and scanned the copy several times to get the texture. Then I adjusted and added shading in the photoshop.

Another trick can be to duplicate the line art layer and set it to "Multiply" (you can also adjust the opacity of the duplicate layer too). I do this all the time to get nice dark, crisp lines.

If you already know all this, sorry for being wonkish. Nice work!

That is exactly how I added the shading in Photoshop. I liked the random gritty texture from coping it several times. I'm not sure how to duplicate that part in Photoshop.
