[AA2] Secret Fortress of the Red Cult

Post by Solomoriah »

Galadrin on the Dragonsfoot forum posted the attached PDF of his adventure there; I'm posting it here with his agreement. He has authorized us to put it into one of the AA series multimodules, with the caveat that he only wants to be credited by his DF forum handle (or his first name, but I'd rather use the handle than cut his name short).

The thread is here: https://www.dragonsfoot.org/forums/view ... 42&t=33954

We need to copy this all over to the Adventure Template to get it into standard format. I don't have time just now; if there's anyone who'd like to take this on, please speak up.

This adventure can now be found in AA2 on the Downloads page.

With guidance from the author, I've put together a new, revised map for this adventure. You can view it via the MapMatic +2 page here:

It's a very engaging and inspiring adventure, with the sort of setting that makes me want to expand it.

And the eight year long saga of how it has returned and been updated is itself very inspiring, and a tribute to how OD&D itself keeps on keeping on! :)

I'll get this into the standard format. We can probably fit this into AA2.

Ok R1 uploaded to first post. Had to delete a lot of weird spacing from the PDF, not sure if I got it all.

Page two, right column, end of first (incomplete) paragraph: ran away from (nothing after that)

Same page and column, first complete paragraph: "While the cult’s minions were put to home for foolish love," what does this mean? Something is misphrased or cut out.

Page 4, first paragraph, second sentence: build should be built.

Page 7, area six: should "potion of healing" be bolded, for format consistency?

Boxed text on page 8: to late should be too late.

Good catches! I'm not sure why that paragraph didn't paste in intact, hopefully there's not any others; this is def. where I need more eyes looking over it! Re-uploaded a fixed version.

I'm posting them as I find them and just editing my post. So, a few more to come, maybe. I'll edit the post to say finished when I find everything I can.

If you don't mind, I'd prefer you just make a new post. Less confusing for me and makes sure I get all your corrections!
