Re: MapMatic +2
Also, I fixed a longstanding bug where, when you save a new map the first time, the links to view the printable map and return to the map editor didn't work. They work now.

I have some ideas for mapping tiles including some that can be used for overland maps. I enjoy working in GIMP so I can make the images myself, but what size image do you need and what other constraints are there?

Re: MapMatic +2
I really don't intend to use MapMatic +2 for overland maps; I prefer hex maps for that, and we have another thread somewhere for hex map symbols. However, if you want to do dungeon map tiles, I'd be happy to have them.
Tiles must be in PNG format, and transparent except for the item or detail being shown. Tiles are 66x66 pixels and overlap by 9 pixels at the edges; the actual grid is made up of squares that are 60x60 in outline with 3 pixel wide gridlines, which makes the overlap work. Doors and other details that puncture the grid wall must not be more than 9 pixels thick in order to "fit" in the gridline area.
I'll attach a copy of the actual grid square, but if you use it as a master template, remember to delete the actual gray grid lines before submitting your work. In GIMP, it's best to keep the grid as a separate reference layer and delete the whole layer before exporting.

Re: MapMatic +2
I finally got around to making these. I hope I got everything right. Let me know if I need to change anything, or if anything weird stands out, or if you just want me to redo any of them.

Also here are some alternatives to the small barrel. I think I actually like the dark one most personally, but I'll leave which one gets picked up to someone else.

Re: MapMatic +2
Is there a way to select multiple cells at once? For example, I'd like to fill a map with grey squares and then select a few grey squares at the time and delete them to carve out a room. Any way to do something like that?

Re: MapMatic +2
No, sorry. I use the fact that clicking on a cell highlights the cell contents; one hand on the mouse, the other on the Delete key, I remove the squares one at a time.
Generally I hold off filling the empty space until after I've drawn the corridors and rooms, reducing my need to delete anything.
The UI is crufty, no question. I should have done something better but could not imagine what it was at the time.

No worries, I was just curious. The tool is actually very good.
