BFRPG Combat Sequence vs B/X

Post by Ironwolf »

Combat Sequence from D&D B/X:

1. Each side rolls for initiative (Id6).

2. The side with initiative acts first:

a) Morale checks, if needed

b) Movement

c) Missile fire combat

d) Magic spells

e) Melee combat

3. Each remaining side then completes the above actions in order.
The above is from D&D B/X. Does Basic Fantasy follow the "a" through "e" parts above in the same order?

Not meaning to be snarky, but... is it in the book? No. So no, we don't do that.

But of course, if you are GM you can do whatever you like.

BFRPG replicates the "way we played" (i.e. my group) "back in the day." We never followed that round order, so...

I will echo Sol on this one. No it's not in the book but it is easily imported. I have quite a bit of BECMI in my BFRPG games and it is quite easily done.
