Miniatures

Post by cupofblackcoffee »

I was wondering where would be an appropriate place on this forum to post photos of miniatures,I recently got a hold of a ton of Nolxur's miniatures and would like any criticisms or tips on painting or running games with minis.

If you run games with minis you'll need a LOT of them. Not all minis need to be complete painted tiny statues. I run games with DIY boardgame pieces for major enemies (which are color coded) and DIY game chitlets (with numbers/letters on them) for minor enemies. Between enemies, animals, NPCs, and players, we've had 20 or 30+ elements on the board. Others have success with painted pennies or artwork glued to pennies (or other coins).

On the other side of things, if you have tons of money to blow, HeroForge minis are really nice. Four cost me around $130, though.

Miniature photos would be welcome in General Discussion, or in Artwork, whichever. Please don't spam the forum with a bunch of threads though.

Maybe we need a "best miniature photo" thread?

For con games, I usually just print out images at about 1 inch by 1 inch, glue them to thin cardboard like cereal box cardboard. That way I can have as any as I need for almost no money, especially since i may never use a specialized opponent again.

Plus they are often magically delicious.

These are cool, Solo.

Also, I'm all for a miniatures pictures thread. Probably one would do it, I'm guessing.

My GM in my local Dcc game uses something similar.
