Human "monsters"/guards/soldiers/etc, where?

New to this game and ttrpg in general. Was running a solo game for myself recently. Action was in a city and I needed city guards. Really couldn't find anything like that in the base book, so used stripped down skeleton. Help on where to look for these kinds of "monsters" and stats? Many thanks

Humans are defined by their class and level, and guards are explained in the Encounters section on page 147 under City Watch. Most will be 1st level fighters. You could put them in leather to chain based on the size of the city or town, give them a shield and spear. I would say AC 14 or 16 with 5 hit points. AB of +1 and doing 1d6 damage. Most city watchmen were local milita and not very strong or well trained. Watch Captains will be higher level and equipped better.

I use it all the time. Also, you don't need full stats as Mr. Fowler mentioned. Just some bare bones stuff will get by.
