BFRPG video is most viewed

Post by teaman »

My review/overview of BFRPG is my most viewed video. Not bragging, it ain't me.

I think it's an indication that the OSR is alive and well and BFRPG is on a lot of people's mind.

I also wonder how many folks are turning to it as an alternative to, well, you know.

I loved your overview video. Dropped you a sub on the spot. Your videos have offered great content to listen to at work. Would love to hear a podcast from your perspective about your approach to TTRPGs

Thanks so much, GrimlinJoe. I appreciate the subscription, and I'll try my best with the videos moving forward. I'll keep your thoughts about an approach video in mind. Gives me a couple of ideas.

And it's just great that BFRPG has a lot of interest out there!

Hi teaman how about a link to the video ?
And in answer to your question I think that Basic Fantasy rpg is going to be my go to game for fantasy in the future

I agree, I don't see myself switching to a later edition, unless I had a group of players who HAD to play that one. But for my long term campaigns, it's BFRPG all the way.

Holy crap, I didn’t realise you are the one who made the video. Shared your video on the Basic Fantasy RPG Facebook group as soon as I found it on YouTube. 😀

Thanks so much. It's my most viewed video, over 300 so far.

Good to spread the word that old school is a fine way to go.

Great video! It was one of the first I watched when getting into BFRPG. I'm trying to get a group together locally to play in the near future. Great into for sure. This forum is a great resource that I only just discovered (although I've been over at Dragonsfoot since 2005).

Thank you so much, Beowulf. I'm thrilled if the video helped move you in BFRPG's direction. It's the only fantasy game I see myself running (I use other systems for different genres).

I'm trying to get a group together to run BFRPG. 8-) Obviously most gamers today are playing The Edition That Shall Not Be Named but hopefully I can entice a few over to an OSR. Despite having over four decades of D&D/AD&D under my belt I'm still pretty new to BFRPG but I have it digested to the point I'm confident I could run a game.
