that is a really good take on Kobolds, not sure if I mentioned in the Monster names thread how good a take on them I think this is!

and a voracious appetite for the metal of the same name!

for those who werent in the monster name check thread, Cobalt the element is named after Kobold the German Fae, so while we were talking about it, these two up there ^ came up with Kobold who's saliva corrupted silver into something resembling cobalt, which the Kobolds then consumed, how peeved would your party of adventurers be if these little beasties turned all their silver loot into icky slobber covered debased metal!

I'm leaning toward using RamsHorn's horned kobold and describing them as hairless and blue skinned. I'd really like to distance Gabe's creation from them somewhat, but not sure how.

From the get-go I liked the schnauzer kobolds because it was a completely new approach to an iconic monster. And angry little dogs are very relatable.
I even tweaked the logo, but Gabe said this wouldn't work since this kobold has no pants, violating our decency clause.

personally I prefer the Fuzzy Schnauzer kobolds more than any other take on kobolds ever!

but I like the idea of the horned, blue skinned silver eaters as well, could they be Kobold leader types? like what happens when Kobolds get older and tougher... normal Kobolds just eat normal food and look like Schnauzers, but as they get more powerful/older, the fur drops out leaving the blue skin, the horns sprout, and they start to need silver to sustain themselves (or it could be the other way around, once they start eating silver the hair drops out and the horns grow...
