Teaman's Pictures for Basic Fantasy
Re: Teaman's Pictures for Basic Fantasy
For the record, I did add in the sorceress pic to the Blood Heritage Sorcerer Supplement. I used the scroll, too, just for extra fun. Only once, but I could have used the scroll about a half-dozen times.

Great, glad they both found some use!

Best not to reuse the same art repeatedly in one work... white space is better than that. Looks desperate.

OK. I will keep that in mind.
However, (and I am not doing this anyway, just saying), if I did something repeatedly, it would only be something like the scroll, or something like an unfurled scroll or a length of rope or something like that as an alternative to a visual section break. So, in that case, it shouldn't appear desperate, just as an acknowledged section break instead of a simple line or something.
(Then again, the BFRPG style seems to actively avoid visual section breaks other than titles, so there's that. )

How do you give these guys life? Seriously, this guy is up to something and you captured it. Fine work as always.

Thanks so much. He's based on a PC from my current campaign (I'm the DM and the player is a great roleplayer)Zoltors Inkwell wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 6:02 pmHow do you give these guys life? Seriously, this guy is up to something and you captured it. Fine work as always.

Teaman, again the eyes are the window on this Rogue's soul. I can just hear the internal dialog, "That rich dressed merchant left his saddle bags on his horse when he went into the tavern. And there is no one else in the square. Hmmmmmm..."
Re: Teaman's Pictures for Basic Fantasy
Actually one of my pet peeves about the whole system. I also use text to speech software and the lack of visual breaks allows the software to take a page that is actually two columns on top (1 and 2) and two columns on the bottom (3 and 4) to read through the page as column 1, 3, 2 and 4. If there were a visual line the software is set to recognize it as a break and will read columns 1, 2, 3, 4.
No line Line

Of course that is my 2 CP on the matter. Picking up my box as I go.
