Continuing straight ahead through the archway before you, you find yourselves in a long tunnel. The end of which is well beyond your light. You feel a cold rush of air race past you and you suddenly have the feeling of being watched.

Jaq shivers as he looks around. "Anyone else feel like someone...thing is looking at us?" He slowly looks around trying to see if he can spot anything in the shadows and darkness.

Hrothgar slows to study the stonework of the tunnel.

Inspecting the stonework reveals nothing. Other than being of normal masonry, the wall has no distinguishing features. Your light flickers for a moment as if in a breeze before the chill feeling passes.

As he inspects the walls and exits from this room for the fourth time, carefully noting what is what and where is where, Sim trips, with a shriek his face meets the back of his upraised stylus and the sharpened point of the rear is driven into his brain, instantly killing him, he is dead

??? That was unexpected.

Jaq looks around at the rest of the party, "Well, let's continue on, shall we?" He slowly continues down the tunnel, senses attuned for any little sound, unusual mark or errant monster.

"Aye, let's continue."

Having lost a member to a seeming gruesome accident, the party continues forward, as if lost in a haze where time has no meaning. After some 40 feet you see that the tunnel forks another 10 feet ahead of you.

As they near the fork Jaq suddenly stops short and turns to the rest. "No use leaving perfectly good equipment lying in the tunnel to just rot." He retraces his steps and retrieves Sim's equipment, armor, and weapons after a moment of silence.

OOC: We can divy up the equipment in the OOC thread. I will try my hand at mapping going forward. Hopefully the mapmaker's role isn't jinxed. ;)

Looking ahead, any differentiation between the left and right fork? If not, H. wants to take the right fork.
