Samantha gets up and starts looking for something that seems to be in control of life support and, if there is, if there is a way to know what sort of atmosphere would be generated (wouldn't want to start up a life support system that's going to spew out something worse than what we've already got).

Scott finally running out of steam sits and waits for the Captain.

Driscoll moans in pain and settles back in his chair.

Without anything better to do, Amanda will go back to seeing if she can open the aft hatch adjacent to the bridge.

That's the hatch Scott went through.

Here's the deal... you've escaped the planet, and have little reason to return given the destruction of the base. So, now what? I'd like to see your characters discuss the situation a bit before I bring Steele on stage.

Redefine mission parameters without the captain onboard? What an absurd idea! :)

"Well. I suppose this means we head back to Earth now. It's too bad about that machine. It seemed sentient. And what about this ship? It's not like we can hope to bring it back with us..."

"Actually, that might be possible. The Pegasus could be able to open up a nullspace wormhole large enough for both of these ships, provided that we learn how to pilot it well enough to keep the two together. Hey Scott, what do you think?"

I'm not a rocket scientist. Mint, if you take a look at the last 2-3 pages of episode 2, it should give you enough info to know what Amanda's talking about. I believe you received clearance and the full mission briefing not the unclassified version, so it's not info you wouldn't have anyway.

Samantha is at least aware of the nature of wormhole travel; she can do the basic math, and understands the principles. As to making a wormhole big enough, that's not a recommended procedure... but a ship can make a wormhole and not enter it. Pegasus could create a wormhole, then the alien ship could enter it, and Pegasus could create a second wormhole shortly thereafter for its own transit.

In other words, if you can figure out how to fly it, and get the life support operational, you might just get it home.

Scott will consult with Samantha concerning what she already knows and will think of the things he has seen on the ship, especially the first space he and driscoll went into. If anything reminds him of life support systems he will further investigate what ever that is.

Driscoll drools a little.

Hey Solo, maybe I remember episode 2 incorrectly since I was KO and all, but isn't that what the Pegasus did with the Skylark? The Pegasus opened the wormhole and the Skylark jumped through?

"Hey Sam, you can read these symbols, right? Can you figure out which ones are life support? Air isn't our only problem. If the hull isn't well-insulated, it's going to get very cold in here very fast."
