Color, and Math in the US. Colour and Maths in the UK.

Well, I'm sure they are used other places as well. Just not in the US.

thanks guys but I resolved the argument. Math is correct when used in phrases such as "he has math skills." Whereas maths is correct for phrases such as "do the maths." as math is short for mathematical and maths is short for mathematics one refers to the practice of said skill and one refers to the skill itself. therefore both nations commonly use the words incorrectly.

Or at least that is what our compromise was.

Do the Maths? Never heard it said that way. Whatever works for you though. :)
