Rules

This is a rules thread. Only I can post in it. This is where you can see all the rules I'm using.

Here's how I'll do combat:

First, I'll post when you've entered combat (this should be easy, as you'll know when your going to fight stuff)

Then I'll ask you what you want to do.

Then you may post your actions, but don't roll anything.

Then I will post what happens, including what effects your actions had.

I will do all the dice rolling involved in combat.

Hope this makes sense.

(Thought this should go here)

Jered is suggesting something similar that a lot of older pbp sites use for their combat and it works but if the group is seeking more story like that brings in crunch to the story. I like using something more simplier:

Joffey rushes up at the orc with the intent of driving his sword deep into the orc's belly.

This gives the GM the intent of the action that he can roll against. Say Joffey makes his roll and does enough damage to kill the orc.

GM: The orc rushes to meet Joffey with it's crudely made axe raised to attack but Joffey's sword finds it's mark first to sink deep into the orc's belly.

These does put the major of the description on the GM but in combat most of the load goes to him anyway.
I will also be using this system to some extent.
