Lys can't help but grin at Haldor. "You're worried about seeming dishonest to someone trying to kill us? Someone trying to kill you?" The lithe female cleric shakes her head in wonderment and chuckles softly to herself, continuing to keep a wary eye out as they continue to make their way quickly back to Celob and the Inn.

Sorry! Haldor replies in an easily audible whisper. Who are we hiding from anyway?

"My brother's assassins" whispers Gerald. "There's bound to be more of them."

Oh ok. Will they be better than the last ones? Because they were not very good at their job.

"I'm not sure how good they will be. They could be equally horrible, or spectacularly dangerous."

How do we know that there are bound to be more of them. I mean this could be it. Haldor whispers. And what kind of a strategy is it to send your least deadly assassins first? I mean why waste perfectly good novices when all it would have taken is one master to do the job?
