Saracen, while invisible, will sprint to a distance of 120ft whilst maintain a clear line of sight. Once there, if combat still persists, he will take careful aim with his rifle and fire at any remaining enemies.

Jaali will again move away another 30 feet and shoot with his pistol.

Kanya will cast spiritual hammer (unless she cast it last round, in which she'll have that attack while she gets her flail out instead). The hammer will attack every round it is able.

(All good actions. But I am waiting on Maju. This is important. He needs to decide if he will flee, withdraw, fight in melee, or cast a spell / scroll. If he gets bitten again in the next round, he's a stone cold goner. And the dinosaur is right on him, and has a taste for blood. By the way, his familiar could attack at this point.)

You're so melodramatic. Maybe the dinosaur will turn to flee, the three of us (plus the hammer!) will get an attack of opportunity, and the dinosaur will die. :D

Feeling like his options have run out - unable to stop the beast with his suite of spells, yet unable to out-run it either at this point, Maju steps back to gain a little distance between himself and the dinosaur. While doing so, he retrieves his scroll of Wall of Fire and casts the spell, thanking his lucky stars that his mentor saw fit to write this spell down.

OOC: Maju would like to cast the spell around himself (book says he should be able to cast it up to a 25' radius) - but especially between himself and the dino. Of course, the hot side will be outward. Also, he would like to use the 'maintain indefinitely' option. His main purpose is simply to ward off the dinosaur that is attacking him.

Maju steps back a small distance and casts WOF.

His spell is a success and the 20 high firestorm springs into being in a ring around him.

The dinosaur takes damage (6).

The thief shoots the other side of his turnover pistol and misses. There's too much fire and confusion in the area to get a good shot this round.

The invisible sea-elf fires his rifle and also misses for the same reason. He becomes visible as the spell fades.

The monk, back a distance of 200 yards, climbs a tree and scans the nearby area. He can see where the villagers have paused further on, to take stock of the situation. He can also see a big burning patch in the forest back where the action was 20 seconds ago before he ran away. That's about it.

Proper Round 4:

The dinosaur wins initiative, but is temporally reluctant to move through the wall of fire and attack Maju and Kanya - who is also on the inside of the ring, as it it transpires. It is growling on the other side of the wall, and takes small amount more damage (2) as it moves back.

The other dinosaur moves 20 and is now 30 away. The spell on it ends at the end of next round.

PS - this was a bit tricky to DM. Can everyone please read the post about combat movement?

I'd ideally like to kill some of you, but not because you don't understand the rules about how to withdraw, how to run, and what order you can act in.

OOC: How far is the closer dinosaur from Maju and Kanya?

The diameter of the WOF is about 50' wide. You have started it with the edge very close to you, so you are only 5' from the inside edge (which deals no damage). You could both move back 20' and be right at the middle of the circle, if you chose. You can also make the circle smaller.

The smaller dinosaur has moved back from the outside edge in round 4, and is now about 25 away from the wall, meaning it takes no more damage from the heat. The other slowed dinosaur is only 5' behind it.

You can't see them any more so you don't know what they are doing, but you think they are kinda considering whether it is worth the temporary pain to get some tasty snax inside the wall.

Random gunshots keep ringing out form your "comrades" who fled, which seem to be having no effect at all.

It's now your go - all characters. Maju, if you have the spell on concentration mode like you said, you can't do anything else.
