Cael smiles and thinks. "I'll have a meal for now. Tea sounds nice but I'll wait on that."[/b

Taking a deep breath, Cael turns to his fellows. "We should discuss some things, friends. We al are travelers in our own way, but I suspect that not a one is merely a traveler. Are you as I and seek the thrill of ancient lost city? A forgotten tomb? The rush of facing down a beast of power and ferocity?"

"Ha!"

Arkus puts down his tankard noisily, spilling a little ale on the table.

"To do mighty deeds, be celebrated by all, and have the pockets full of gold!"

He give Cael a questioning look:

"But then, what are we doing in this part of the world?
The most exciting piece of news seem to be the harvest festival.
Not that I mind a little merrymaking, but it is far from the things you just described."

Aye, Cael, I too crave adventure, the slaying of evil creatures and such, in search of gold and glory. But as Arkus has pointed out, we may be in the wrong place for such. Although, peaceful times can often be interrupted abruptly.... Barros seems to drift off in thought, as if remembering something from long ago.

After a short while, William returns with your meals and drinks. He sets down two tankards of ale, and three large trenchers of stew on your table. "Enjoy. Let me know if you want anything else."

Thank Ye, William!

Barros turns back to his friends, "We could stay and take in the festival, or try to go find some leads on a bit of adventure from the various townsfolk, possibly doing both at the same time, or if we could glean a map of the surrounding area, that might help us in finding what we seek as well. Arkus, Cael, suggestions?"

With that, Barros sets his attentions to meal & Ale.

"Well, there will be many people at the festival.
Not only from the village but also from the surrounding countryside.
And maybe even some traders or entertainers that get around a bit.
I shall keep my ears open for rumors.
An ancient lost city might be too much to hope for, but old tombs and ferocious beasts may be found just around the corner, who knows."

Thanking William Cael nods serenely. "Then I find myself in good company. Let's enjoy the evening, rest from our travels and keep our ears open. As my grandfather says, 'things might be just a little too quiet'."

Phelan enters the inn and immediately looks for her new-found companions. When she sees them she heads over to their table.

"May I join you?"

"Ah, there you are!
Please be seated, the ale is not bad.
We were just talking about the mighty deeds we wish to perform.

"Did you learn anything interesting at the temple?
Wouldn't it be funny if you found us a quest at the temple while we were wasting time drinking?"

Cael turns and smiles to his comrade, motioning to a nearby seat. "Sit! How was the temple?"
