Having lured the zombies closer to the east wall, Hakki makes a dash for the pole (2 spaces diagonally to O04, then 10 spaces straight to E04).

[OOC: I assume Hakki can pick up the pole and move 6 spaces next turn?]

You end the move in E04.

The zombies lurch after you at 3 spaces - they waste 1 in turning around. Will calculate their exact locations later.

Yes, you can get the hook down and then move 6 spaces. Is that what you do?

Hakki grabs the pole and moves into the southwest corner (3 spaces to B02), preparing to suddenly change directions and dash past his undead pursuers once again.

Pole grabbed. You are now carrying the battle axe one handed and can't use it unless you drop the pole.

In the previous round they moved to N10, N09, K08 and K07.

This round seeing your move to B02, they move to J06, J05, G06 and G05.

Characters are allowed to run a number of rounds equal to 2 times the character's
Constitution, after which they are exhausted and may only walk (at the normal encounter rate).

You are a long way off reaching this point and have taken several turns in which you only took a minor move, which don't count to the tally. You are giving the zombies the run around.

"See the dwarf run on his stumpy little legs!
Great fun for the entire family!
Somebody is going to pay for this..."

Hakki stops mumbling as he needs his breath to sprint behind the central pillar (5 spaces north to B07, then 6 spaces diagonally to H13, and the final space to I13).

[OOC: Can he spot any other objects of interest which he could retrieve using the hook?]

You haven't seen any other treasure, no.

At the end of the round you are at I13 and the treasure in is reach. You will need to make a dex roll to get it down.

My minions shamble to H10, H09, G10 and G09. They are in a big mass, and will descend on you at the end of the next round unless you move.

Good luck with that dex roll.

OOC: just to be clear: Hakki can't try the Dex roll and move?

Yes, he can. One move to get the treasure down, the other to run 6.

Hakki retrieves the nugget with the pole (roll of 5 vs Dex 12).
Does anything happen?

OOC: can he drop the pole, keep the nugget, and move? If the battle is not over after getting the nuggt, Hakki will move to O13 with or without it.

You got the treasure. Now you can move 6 squares.

No sign of the fight ending. In fact, the crowd start chanting "kill, kill, kill".

Maybe you better kill a zombie?

Or you could appeal to the judge?
