Tapley says, "Perhaps we should check the fellow's former abode to see if there are any clues as to what happened?"

Grimlar nods, "If you all don't mind, I shall move forward and investigate. I trust my shield will protect us from anything untowards." Without a further word he lifts his shield and axe and moves forward. His steps are cautious, scanning the ground and any cover knowing that this could be an ambush. He stops before entering the clearing and kneels down to use his shield as effective cover and listen and assess the situation.

Deckard begins to whisper a prayer under his breath and grips his holy symbol tightly. He reaches to his hip to grip his maul with his other hand.

You all follow Grimlar as he proceeds forward to the forested area where the houses once stood. While knowing much of the natural world has consumed what had been sitting too long untouched. There are remains of skeletal corpses with possibly Elvis remains. rotted chairs and tables are broke down as it is unusable and food has gone bad for a while. However what most catches your attention is much of signs of a firefight that had happened. There are arrows, broken spears, burnt out fire spots and out of all of that a piece of a recently fallen wing. Though not one of a bird of some type.

Grimlar stops at the edge of the battle field and gestures for his companions to stop. He braces his large shield, and crouches down behind it. He advances forward at a half pace, scanning the tree tops and house remains. He will stop about 30' into the battle site and gesture for his companions to move up if nothing happens.

Grimlar covers himself with his large shield cautiously continuing forward until stopping near the battle site. The group and Terrance see ahead an archway that looks to be Oldwin's door to his house. Which the heavy double doors are closed and nothing can be seen across within the trees. However, two goblins stand watch in front of the doorway and speak in their language, only if someone can understand them speak. They have not noticed the party for now

Assuming Taply sees the goblins or Grimlar silently indicates to them, Taply readies an arrow with his bow. Once readied, he will fire if they attack or Grimlar indicates to fire.

I come to a complete stop and grin. Grimlar hears the bow pull taught, the party is ready for action and he's ready to attack. He plans his attack carefully, thinking about his approach. His goal, if he feels the party is ready (OOC: Based on my ask in the OOC thread), will be to charge in and body slam one of the goblins with his shield trying to overrun it, then pivot and attack the second goblin. Hopefully he'll keep the first goblin pinned against the house or even do some damage to it, dispatch the second goblin, and seize control over the door which is a natural choke point for anything inside.
