It would. Since there is already a thief, a magic-user/thief would fill the "magic-user" slot.

I've never been in a pbp game before, but since I've not had a face to face game in almost a year, I'll give it a go.
Dwarf Cleric and I'll take either row 5 or 16, whichever Hywaywolf doesn't want.

Okay, so the player roster is like this:
Hywaywolf - Halfling Thief, row 5
jstater - Half-Orc Fighter, row 2
Maliki - Dwarf Cleric, row 16
Sir Bedivere - Elf Magic-User or MU/Thief, row 8.
Everyone, please fill in your characters. I've decided to make one change: You all have 3000 XP. You still have only 120 GP to spend (your characters are down on their luck). I'll roll hit points for your added levels and post them here.

I actually wanted row 5 if it was going to be in strict order. If not strict order I would have taken 16. But I guess since its already been written down in a summation thread, I go correct my character sheet to row 16 values.

Re: Interested in a BFRPG play-by-post?
I should also point out this is my first PBP game, and the first time I'll play BF. I've GMed it a few times, but never played as a player.
I'm debating between MU or MU/Thief. W/ the 3000 XP, the cleric and thief will both be 3rd level and the fighter will be 2nd.
Would it be more useful for the party to have a MU/Thief at 1st level (better weapons, armor, backup thief, needs 750 XP to make 2nd level), or a MU at 2nd level (2 spells per day instead of 1, 2 HD, needs 2000 XP to make 3rd level)?
I'm still leaning toward MU/Thief, but that 2nd spell might be better for the group. Any thoughts, guys?

AS an MU having two spells has to be more fun since you can carry something beside sleep (the hand grenade of spells), but having another person to range when the meatheads are preparing to melee is also cool (assuming a M/U thief can use a bow).

No, stay with 5. I misunderstood you. I'll edit that post and swap 5 and 16 between the two of you.Hywaywolf wrote:I actually wanted row 5 if it was going to be in strict order. A magic-user/thief can use any weapons allowed to either class; thieves can use anything, so there you go.

Thanks. Dex is pretty important to a tiny thief.Solomoriah wrote:No, stay with 5. I misunderstood you.
