A few more I forgot to mention I made:
  • Brazen Head
  • Cauldron of the Dagda
  • Horn, Unicorn
  • Lantern of Diogenes
  • Mirror of Archimedes
  • Thread of Ariadne
  • Wings of Icarus
I think I'll push a release today and make a call-out for more art.

Release 16 sees many new items added to the Standard/Rare/Unique items in the book, plus the addition of the new Legendary Artifacts chapter. In all, it's 30 pages longer than r15.

It needs much more art, especially in the Legendary Artifacts section which is just my text, one header picture, and collage picture. Here's the link to the art thread.

Here's one my son came up with when he was a teen-ager and a newly-minted DM running adventures for his friends:
Gnome Hat
This is an attractive hat made from sueded leather and lamb’s wool. It will detect as magic. Its major property is that it will grant one wish to anyone who is wearing it at the time.
The main drawback of this magical headgear is that it will grant wishes not necessarily in line with what the wisher may have wanted. In particular, it will grant a wish in as humorous a way as possible, which can often be disastrous for the wearer of the hat.
Only one wish is ever granted to any one person.
No matter what happens, the Gnome Hat always comes through unscathed and soon finds a new wearer.
For example: The man who wished for a bigger house. So the house grew in size, doubling in all dimensions. This meant the people who lived there had to get stepping stools to reach the door handles, climb up onto the furniture, and crawl up the stairs.
Or the man who wished for "Some real fireworks in my bed tonight." Later on there was an explosion in his bedroom and he and his wife were never seen again.
Or the man who wished for lots of money and was crushed by a deluge of gold coins.
Or the man who wished for the most beautiful wife in the world. Since he didn't specify who's wife, she came accompanied by a big, strong, well-armed and jealous husband.

I like this one, but you may want to include an example wish, and result in the item description, as EGG himself said, wishes are the most difficult thing in the game to referee.
No matter where you go...there you are

Examples included.
I agree. Not only are wishes hard to adjudicate, twisting wishes - especially toward a humorous bent - can be even more difficult. Requires a lot of thought.

Release 17 is 95 pages and is starting to look good but is still some ways away from completion.

I've appreciated the art submissions and there are still plenty of spaces to fill, especially in the Legendary Artifacts section.

Here's the link to the art thread.
