Re: JN1 The Chaotic Caves
Thanks Chii. I'm working on the one for page 17 right now. Just set the pencil down to thank you.
It's going to be the best of the four.

Announcing!
JN1 The Chaotic Caves by J.D. Neal, Release 23 -- August 29, 2019
Another minor editing pass, some more flow and layout fixes, and new artwork from John Fredericks has led at last to this new print release candidate of J.D. Neal's excellent adventure module.

Re: JN1 The Chaotic Caves
2 small nitpicks, neither likely worthy of holding this up:
License page: "Open Game License" and "End of License" are normally centered on page, not paragraph
Monster blocks/entries don't include XP values at the end like they do now

Re: JN1 The Chaotic Caves
I changed the license page layout to allow me to avoid 6 pt. type while keeping it on one page. Lulu complains about 6 pt. type.
As for the XP values, if you want to do them, I'll hold the release a couple days longer. We're already held up by AA2 anyway.

Re: JN1 The Chaotic Caves
I started to, but it was breaking up the layout too much (mainly p. 12).
p. 7-11, 25-27, 35-36, 38-40: for the non-NM NPCs, since the "Sv" portion already shows their class and level, the previous "F2" and such after "AC" is redundant.
p. 12, Kobold entry: errant parenthesis
p. 16, Gray Ooze: in statblock, attack should be "1 pseudopod"
p. 33: map image is slightly too large (crossing bottom border) and isn't centered
p. 36, 82. North Wall: table column headers don't need to be underlined

Re: JN1 The Chaotic Caves
Fix what needs fixing and leave the layout-hammering to me.
EDIT: Y'know what, I'll take a look at it tonight.

Re: JN1 The Chaotic Caves
Ack. I agree, in principle, but I don't want to remove the Sv item and I don't want to make the reader go all the way to the Sv section to find out the class and level. So I'm leaving these.
I'm omitting the XP values for villagers, with a note to that effect, as most are NM worth just 10 XP.
Fixed. That map issue was a show-stopper, if nothing else was.chiisu81 wrote:p. 12, Kobold entry: errant parenthesis
