I've been playing BFRPG with our son for several years now, and now his younger sister's expressed an interest. For starters I plan to re-run Chaotic Caves with her and a friend/parents. I love Chaotic Caves...easy to get into some classic dungeon crawling with lots of opportunities for little side quests and customization.
I've also got Zombraire's Estate (AA1) on the playlist, from the purely pragmatic standpoint that there are undead chickens. UNDEAD. CHICKENS.
There are others I might rerun if she stays as interested as her brother was, but am curious if anyone else has recommendations on other adventures that would be fun for kids 8-12ish?

I would also suggest this. There is a lot of fun, kid-friendly characters that, with a bit of DMstyle, can really appeal. The adventure(s) premise is very straightforward and uncomplicated while being interesting. The villains are also colorful if played right and have easy-to-follow motivations.

As an aside, Laughing Dragon fits really well with Chaotic Caves and Zombraire's Estate...I would mix them all to make a nice little region for adventures.

I'll also support this choice. Easy to understand the goals and one adventure leads into the next excellently. "The Bear Dungeon" from AA2 isn't too shabby, either, if you want to give them a feel for dungeon exploration.

Also, you could play test The Hunt for Rary's Deep.
The setting is very faery-like.

Oh yeah, I love the idea of Bear Dungeon. I might give that one a try.MinkyBoodle wrote: ↑Fri Oct 08, 2021 11:20 pmI'll also support this choice.
