Keep things 3E, for consistency.

I've posted the AA3 Suggestions to the Dropbox. It has everything I found on this pass. Enjoy.

So I'm going through your suggestions right now. A while back we were discussing how to describe attacks and damage. For example:

#At 2 claws, 1 bite, Dam 1d4 claw, 1d6 bite

I'm not sure which of us pointed out that:

#At 1 hand axe, Dam 1d4 hand axe

is needlessly redundant; with just one attack, why bother repeating the attack type? So we agreed that this is okay:

#At 1 hand axe, Dam 1d4

Some of the creatures in this adventure are listed as carrying more than one weapon. For example:

#At 1 scimitar or heavy crossbow, Dam 1d8

You suggested, in keeping with our stated policies, that it should be:

#At 1 scimitar or heavy crossbow, Dam 1d8 scimitar, 1d8 heavy crossbow

While this is obviously correct, it appears to me that the author(s) of those monsters deliberately chose weapons that have the same damage die so as not to have to list the attack types in detail in the Damage section. I'm going to say here that I agree with this reduction of redundancy; any sensible GM should be able to figure this out without explanation. So I'm leaving those alone.

Now, the blood roses you called out are another matter entirely. Several places in the book there are blood roses, and they are written differently every time. Egad. I've made an effort to "standardize" them. There is some variation in number of attacks, but I believe these are intentional on the part of the author(s) and have left them alone, only correcting the presentation.

Still working my way through the book, but I hope to have a new release candidate "soon."

Regarding the Core Rules release question: OGLast editions are written for 3E. We are following our latest style guide and using the new fonts, but sticking to the older vernacular.

I see a bit of confusion regarding the Hydra; its Hit Dice are listed in the Core Rules as "5 to 12 (+10)". For clarification, the (+10) part applies to the 12 Hit Die monster. I can see how this is confusing, the way I wrote it.

Hydras
5 Heads: 5 HD
6 Heads: 6 HD
...
8 Heads: 8 HD
9 Heads: 9 HD (+8 AB)
10 Heads: 10 HD (+9)
11 Heads: 11 HD (+9)
12 Heads: 12 HD (+10)

Announcing!

AA3 Adventure Anthology Three, Release 19 -- September 10, 2023
Another round of corrections by Al Vetter and Chris Gonnerman has led to this new print release candidate. Despite all the delays, I still want this accelerated; if it stands unchallenged until 9/13/2023 it will become the new print release. I'm specifically looking for flow issues at this point, as I feel the book is pretty solid otherwise.

I've released R19 as the print release for Amazon and Lulu. Lulu is available now, Amazon whenever they get around to it as usual.

Thanks 8-) Is it a massive achievement and relief (to me) to see this completed and now in print.
