The stair section at your #2 has one piece facing the wrong way. I'll fix it in the new release. The stairs that lead to room #1 (your #3 marking) are the proper entrance, the one PCs are expected to find. The stairs at your #1 are a "back door" exit.

In the text, room #1 is called "Entrance Room" which should have been a dead giveaway that the stairs there are where you come in. The text description at area #16 states that the stairs ascend into a cave that is not likely to be found from the outside due to overgrowth. The remaining stairs aren't described, and given the wrong-way stair block I can see the confusion.

Also should probably have a legend for map symbols. I'll try to get that into the next release also.

OK this is starting to make a bit more sense now, I obviously didn't read properly and assumed that level one was at ground level with level 2 being the basement. Knowing about the stairs error helps a lot too, although I hadn't drawn them in yet. Thanks for this!

AH. Yes, it's all the dungeon beneath the ruins.

... I suppose an actual ruins map might be nice.

I can start on an editing pass this morning.

As in a scenery only map with only wilderness random encounter rules?

No, a tactical-level map of an above-grounds ruin. Would maybe need two to four encounters or other points of interest. If we do it, we should do it right.

Announcing!

BF1 Morgansfort: The Western Lands Campaign, Release 33 -- February 20, 2023
This is the first Creative Commons release of our original adventure series. It's not a print release candidate yet, as it has a bunch of "gray boxes" that need art to fill them, but the layout is pretty much "nailed down" now.

Announcing!

BF1 Morgansfort: The Western Lands Campaign, Release 34 -- March 05, 2023
This release of BF1 Morgansfort has been completely reflowed, and is in need of additional art; artists are encouraged to look over the PDF for "gray boxes" indicating areas needing illustration, and visit the comments thread on the forum to "claim" spaces they might like to fill. The reflow was necessitated by the font size increase from 9.5 points to 10 points, as discussed on the forum; there should be few if any other changes.

Yikes. While I was checking through the new version I noticed an error in my version of the Nameless Dungeon level 1 map.

I've put a new version of the map under Projects/Maps/
