Re: Monster creations
I don't know if this is the place to put this, but I am converting a home-grown module to BFRPG format. One of the monsters it contains is a roper. Is there a BFRPG equivalent to this? I haven't managed to find it yet.
Re: Monster creations
Upton, check out the Basic Fantasy Field Guide Volume 1, page 62. Roper is there.UptonGames wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2023 1:08 pm I don't know if this is the place to put this, but I am converting a home-grown module to BFRPG format. Like your minis, if you want there is a Miniatures Thread in the General Discussions page to show off your painting skills.

Another one
Skeletal Steed
Armour Class: 13 (special, see below)
Hit Dice: 3
No. of Attacks: 2 hooves, 1 bite
Damage: 1d4 hooves, 1d6 bite
Movement: 60' (10')
No. Appearing: 1
Save As: Fighter: 3
Morale: 12
Treasure Type: None
XP:145
The skeletal steed is an undead creature that resembles a war horse, but with exposed bones and tattered remnants of saddle and tack still clinging to its frame. It is created through dark magic, often by a necromancer seeking to raise an elite mount for their undead army. The skeletal steed is a formidable foe, possessing the speed and agility of a living horse, coupled with the strength and resilience of undeath.
In combat, the skeletal steed attacks with its hooves and a vicious bite. It is immune to sleep, charm, or hold magic, and is turned as a ghoul. The skeletal steed never fails morale and will fight until destroyed.
The skeletal steed takes only ½ damage from edged weapons, and only a single point from arrows, bolts or sling stones (plus any magical bonus). However, it can still be damaged by bludgeoning attacks as normal. Its movement rate is the same as a war horse, allowing it to charge into battle with terrifying speed.
Encountering a skeletal steed can be a harrowing experience, as it is a relentless foe that will stop at nothing to destroy its enemies. Adventurers must exercise caution and use all their skills and abilities to defeat this undead monster.

Re: Monster creations
Does BFRPG have a writeup for the Yeti? If not, is there a similar monster?

Re: Monster creations
My pleasure, I got to the "Black Knight" entry in FG2 and thought, well this undead needs a horse!"
