Boggo wrote: Mon Feb 27, 2023 9:21 am This is just a random thought, but might it be worth it to actually Greybox every monster entry so the flow is right and when it's done possibly converting the grey boxes to white boxes for printing?
Nice idea, but it breaks down two ways:

First, I may never get art for some monsters, requiring me to remove their gray boxes and then deal with a collapsed flow.

Second, I don't know what shape offered art might be... square, under square (landscape), or over square (portrait). When I add a gray box, it is in part a measuring tool so I can tell the artist the maximum size that will fit (and maintain the flow). Given the first caveat above, I don't actually know how big a given box can be since the flow before that monster may collapse.

I don't mind the work; however, I'm trying for an accelerated release of the 4th Edition. The only way to get there is to stabilize the flow, so I have to stop accepting art at some point. But I'm weak... offer me monster art I don't have and I just have to include it.

Maybe putting an "art pending" box will be enough?

Huh. I would never think that I needed a drawing of an Invisible Stalker. Well, now I do.
Amazing drawings all over the board, of course. I especially like the thick line, it makes them look slightly cartoonish, which is my personal go-to style (and I'm pretty sure that it will look great in the printed version).

The Invisible Stalker is amazing. Wing really hit the nail on the head.

I've integrated all those items, and flow-hammered the book back into shape. Right now, if I only receive the art I'm expecting, I can begin final formatting as soon as they arrive.

... I've never, ever been in a situation where I asked people not to send me art. :( Tell you guys what, though... I still need art for BF1 Morgansfort, which I plan to release alongside the Core Rules. Take a look at that download and the art request thread here:

I don't blame people for wanting to get art into the Core Rules though. But BF1 is on track for release at the same time as the rules, and I'm hoping to get Chrysogon's Coterie out about the same time. I think Todd is still hoping for a few more portraits over in that thread.
