Hopefully this is not a noob question:
Is there a downside to being a non-human Thief? The table below the Thief skills seems to imply that non-human Thiefs get bonuses but no penalties.
[IF] Non-human thief
Re: [IF] Non-human thief
Why does there need to be a downside?
No matter where you go...there you are
Re: [IF] Non-human thief
There probably doesn't have to be a disadvantage, I guess I'm just used to pros and cons coming in pairs
Re: [IF] Non-human thief
that sort of thinking didn't come into role-playing until well after the period Iron Falcon is replicating
No matter where you go...there you are

Re: [IF] Non-human thief
In Iron Falcon, thief is the only unlimited advancement class for demi-humans. They get a little more because it's their only choice for a long haul.
Do I know why this is? No. IF is a clone of a specific game, to an arbitrarily high level of fidelity. There are aspects of it I don't understand, even though I wrote it.
