Encounter - The Voracious Thulid
Thogh-ralleth is quite insane. The Gem of True Seeing it has replaced an eye with doesn't help, but it has always been an exceptionally deranged Thulid. It craves magical items, and is fascinated by undeath and with the notion of becoming a Lich. It is in constant communication via telepathy with, what it believes to be, the Thulid Great Brain. The reality is uncertain.
Thogh-ralleth may be mad, but it is by no means reckless. It will utilise all it has to hand to evade confrontation, it's mind blast is always a last resort.
Thogh-ralleth - Thulid: AC 15, HD 8**, #At 1 dagger or special, Dam 1d4+2/special, Mv 40', Sv MU8, Ml 7, XP 1015
HP 38 ☐☐☐☐☐ ☐☐☐☐☐ ☐☐☐☐☐ ☐☐☐☐☐ ☐☐☐☐☐ ☐☐☐☐☐ ☐☐☐☐☐ ☐☐☐ Equipment: Key to Room 21
Dagger +2, Robe of Invisibilty, Gem of True Seeing,

That which does not kill you is likely to still hurt alot, so best avoid it if possible.

Room 21 - The Storage Room
**Boxed Text**
The door is clearly locked from the outside, a great iron chain passes through four rings and meets at a large robust looking lock, forming an 'X'.
**End Boxed Text **
The lock can be picked as normal or otherwise opened by magical means. The key is carried by the Thulid - Thogh-ralleth who resides on level 6, but is sometimes encountered on this level, see random encounters for Thogh-ralleth's stats.
Inside the room is the Thulid's larder. It stops by when hungry and feeds in the brains of one of the unfortunates held captive within. It does not have the room cleaned regularly, so there is always a corpse or two with an empty skull cavity lying about.
The living captives are human or demi human slaves who have been caught by the Minotaurs in Room 2, they also hold a key.

Room 11 - The Final Rest of Lord Kursull
***Boxed Text***
As you push the doors open, you reveal a set of stairs that descend into a fairly small room. It appears that this area was not opened in ages as a thick layer of dust covers everything. A large stone coffin located at the centre of the room, while three large statues are standing with their back against the southern wall.
***End Boxed Text***
The coffin contains the remains of Lord Kursull, an ancient warrior that is reputed to have killed an ancient dragon with his bear hands. Be it true or not, this story is what outlasted him and a poem describing his last battle with the creature named Fyrlox.
The three statues located along the southern wall are marble statues representing knights in full armour with no helmet. They are the guardians of Lord Kursull's body and will fight to the death to defend it.
The stone coffin is not locked, but it is sealed by a magical seal of mortar. If the seal is broken, the three statues will animate and attack any intruder they find in the area. Moreover, the statues will chase anyone that dare to take anything from this room. The statues will not speak or otherwise make noise nor have discernible facial expressions.
Lord Kursull's coffin contains the mummified body of the man as well as the following treasures: The Helm of Exceptional Strength, a magical helm that gives the wearer a score of 18 strength, a jade mask (1800gp), a +2 Long sword, a +1 dagger, a platinum necklace with a medallion of a ruby sculpted as a dragon (1600gp), a scroll of True Seeing, and a scroll of Conjure Elemental.
Marble Guardian: AC 18 (m), HD 6, #At 2 fist, Dam 2d8 fist, Mv 20, Sv F5, Ml 12, XP 555 ea.

31: ☐☐☐☐☐ ☐☐☐☐☐ ☐☐☐☐☐ ☐☐☐☐☐ ☐☐☐☐☐ ☐☐☐☐☐ ☐
Marble Guardian: Marble Guardians are highly magical in nature and as such, they can only be damaged by magic or magical weapons. Each of the marble guardian has an animation gem encrusted on its forehead worth 2000gp.

I'll be writing up my rooms over the weekend - I can grab another couple of rooms if needed.

Re: #Dungeon23 #CommunityEdition - Level 5 (May)
I've got a fitting random encounter:
Minotaur Calves (1d6)
These teenage minotaurs are the offspring of the minotaurs in room 2. The young monsters are currently looking for potential prey to impress their parents and be considered adult minotaurs.
AC 12, HD 4, #At by weapon (axe), Dam 1d6+2, Sv F4, Ml 11, XP 240

The biggest fan of Ockham's razor.

These are creations of the Thulid Thogh-ralleth utilising Clerical magic cast by those it has enslaved prior to devouring their brains. It's fascination with undeath resulted in these curious but horrific chimera. It grew bored with them and cast them out to roam the halls and passages of the labrynth.
