Hat in the ring. I'll sort out rooms 2 plus 20, 21, 22, 23 & 24. I have a plan 👍
That which does not kill you is likely to still hurt alot, so best avoid it if possible.

Quick clarification- I may have missed this, but are we assuming that dungeon level roughly equates to party/threat level? Is it every two levels, etc?

Thanks!

I guess the rule of thumb is the deeper you go, the tougher the monsters become and the greater the reward.

I personally use what's on page 179 of the core rules as a general guideline on how tough the monsters should be.

Room 3 - The Hidden Lair of the Shadow Pack

***Boxed Text***
Entering this room, it seems that it is a living space of a tribe of men, though a closer inspection indicates that these men sleep on blankets laid directly on the floor. Moreover, this area is quite dirty with bones and carrion littering the floor.
***End Boxed Text***

This room is the lair of a pack of werewolves known as the Shadow Pack. They use this hidden area as a base of operations to launch raids around their lair, feed on the unfortunate creatures that cross their way and steal their treasures as well. They dwell here out of spite, being hunted down and harassed when outside of the dungeon.

The werewolves have been trying to seize control of this area but have been faced with strong opposition from the Doppelgangers (see area 15), which they will attack on sight if they meet them in their true form (which rarely occurs). Moreover, they will generally suspect any living being they encounter to actually be a doppelganger in disguise.

There are 9 werewolves dwelling here, and, unless the have a good reason not to, the werewolves will always be in their wolf form when encountered in this area, which they will defend to the death.

Lycanthrope, Werewolf: AC 15 (s) HD 4*, #At 1 bite or 1 weapon, Dam 2d4 bite, 1d6 or by weapon, Mv 60' Human Form 40', Sv F4, Ml 8, XP 280.

In addition to the 9 werewolves, there is a pack leader called Orten. He is the original werewolf that contaminated the other members of the pack a long time ago and he was the one to lead his pack down these dark corridors. Unfortunately for him, the members of the Shadow Pack have been growing tired of the lack of food and riches that were promised to them by Orten. So far he has been able to keep the discontent under control, but he knows that insurrection is close.

Orten is quite moody and has been quite suspicious of everything and everyone these past weeks. He will much prefer to attack than parley and is know not to be messed with.

Orten: AC 17 (s) HD 7*, #At 1 bite or 1 weapon, Dam 2d4 bite, 1d6 or +2 Silver Battle Axe, Mv 60' Human Form 40', Sv F7, Ml 8, XP 735.

Orten: Orten is much tougher than the regular werewolf, but otherwise shares the same stat-block. He also fights with a +2 Silver Battle Axe and wears a Necklace of Protection +2. He also has a +1 Dagger in his possession.

All the belongings of the pack are stored in a large iron chest that can be opened with a key Orten keep on a necklace around his neck. The chest contains the following treasure: 2100 copper pieces, 900 silver pieces, 800 electrum pieces, a gold bowl with fine engravings of dragonflies (500gp), a white gold and jade bracelet encrusted with diamons (1000gp), an exquisite ancient elven circlet shaped as branches and birch leaves, entirely made out of gold, with emeralds and amethysts encrusted (1600gp). Additionally, the chest contains a Potion of Control Giant and a Potion of Longevity.
