Thanks Borgar but I made the maps using Chris' Mapmatic Tool and I really like the old school feel it gives me.. I appreciate it though!

I am new to OSR but experienced in 5E. I am not sure I get DMing the old school way. For instance, when going up to the ruins to look for Fonkin, I tried narrating the day's walk and made encounter rolls but it seemed 'forced'. Is there a playthrough of this sort of thing that I could watch for learning?

What do you mean forced?

I mean I generally only make wilderness encounter rolls when I feel like it myself, but honestly I don't get what you mean by seemed 'forced'? the OSR is all about DM Fiat, if you want an encounter, then that's what happens, dice are a guide not in charge.

The Ready to Role or Roll not sure which, you-tube channel has some vid's of play sessions if that's the kind of thing you're looking for?
